CARY -- Cherokee Publishing Co., the publisher of Auto Remarketing NewsMagazine, Cary Magazine and Cary Business, formally announced today the launch of a new quality of life publication, Triangle East Magazine. The bi-monthly, high-gloss publication will focus on one of the fastest growing regions of the Triangle and will make its debut with a December/January issue.
“We identified the eastern part of the Triangle as the region’s emerging star,” said Ron Smith, executive publisher and editor of the new publication and a resident of Garner.
“The towns in the area, the residential communities, and the people in the new magazine’s circulation area are gaining not only regional attention for growth, but state and national attention as well. Our publication will be there to capture the quality of life of this fast emerging area,” he said.
Triangle East Magazine will highlight the towns and regions of Wake Forest and North Raleigh; Knightdale, Wendell and Zebulon; and Garner, Clayton and Smithfield. Smith said Triangle East Magazine will have a distinct look and feel that is separate from Cherokee’s sister publication, Cary Magazine, which launched in January 2005 and today has a circulation 23,000 and a page count of 156.
“Having worked in Knightdale and being a native of Johnston County, I’m really excited to have an integral part in bringing this quality of life publication to the area,” said Triangle East Associate Editor Kerry Watson Garner.
“I look forward to rekindling the friendships I had and creating new relationships with the good people of the area,” she said.
Triangle East Magazine will launch with a minimum circulation of 15,000 per issue with the majority of the distribution being direct mailed to select households within the region. The remaining issues will be delivered to area businesses and local Chambers of Commerce.
