The Wake County Public School System has experienced unprecedented growth over the last few years, resulting in a substantial shortfall in classroom seats. In order to determine how many schools Wake County would need in the next 15 years, Wake County Public School System gathered data, models and projections from many agencies and it was discovered to maintain the current student-teacher ratio and have 92% of students in permanent classrooms, 96 new schools would be needed.
