TAMPA -- Peak 10, the Southeast's leading data center operator and managed services provider, is hosting a networking reception and educational seminar on the basics of disaster recovery and business continuity. The free program will feature experts from Peak 10, Iron Mountain and ReadyAlert.com and will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at the Centre Club in Tampa, Fla. from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The seminar is being co-sponsored by the Tampa High Tech Council, which is comprised of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the STAR Technology Enterprise Center. It will provide valuable information on best practices, lessons learned, new technologies and surprising shortcuts that companies can incorporate into their business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency communication plans.
"Disaster recovery and business continuity are topics being discussed by organizations in Tampa that are large and small, especially during this hurricane season," said Debra Curtiss, general manager and vice president of Peak 10 Tampa and the seminar's moderator. "We were asked to partner with the High Tech Council to bring disaster recovery and business continuity experts together and give them a platform for sharing ideas, new information and best practices. We feel the event is a timely and valuable endeavor."
