Myrtle Beach's Springmaid Pier Offers A Monthly Pass For Frequent Users

Pier Is Renowned As Myrtle Beach's "Best Fishing Pier"
Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Springmaid Pier is offering a monthly walking pass for $15 to frequent users of the pier who are not staying at Springmaid Beach Resort. Resort guests will continue to have free access to the pier and the daily rate for non-resort guests will remain at $1. A yearly fishing pass is available for $150 for individuals and $250 for couples.
The Springmaid Pier is a local landmark and is one of the oldest and longest piers along the Grand Strand. It was named Myrtle Beach's "Best Fishing Pier" for 2004 by subscribers to the Myrtle Beach Herald as well as "Best of the Beach" for several years by readers of the The Sun News. Renovations completed over the winter improved the quality of the pier both structurally and aesthetically. A gift shop that offers a variety of family fun items and vacation souvenirs was added and the tackle shop remodeled.
"We found that many visitors and locals come to the pier regularly, so we thought we would reward their patronage by instituting a monthly pass at roughly half what it would cost if you paid the daily rate for a month," said Toby Beckham, Pier Manager. "It’s just our way of saying thank you for their loyalty.”
