Satin Skin Laser Center to host free Botox Seminar - Aug 10

CARY, NC -- Satin Skin Laser Center, a provider of laser hair removal, laser vein removal, laser skin tightening, laser cellulite reduction, scar remediation, and Botox, is hosting a free Botox seminar on Thursday, August 10th at 7:00pm at Satin Skin Laser Center located at 3750 NW Cary Parkway, Suite 105 in Cary. The free presentation will be conducted by Dr. John Pittman, of the Carolina Center for Integrative Medicine, and is entitled "Looking Good and Feeling Good: The Cosmetic and Medical Uses for Botox".

According to A Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Medical Resource website, over 10 million cosmetic procedures - both surgical and non-surgical - were performed in 2005. This number represents a 222 percent increase over the past eight years. Of the top five most popular non-surgical procedures performed, Botox ranked #1 with 3.8 million procedures. Although most people associate Botox with wrinkle reduction, it has also been successful in treating chronic pain.

"Botox injections have been shown to decrease muscle tension and pain, as well as increase range of motion," says Dr. Pittman. "It has also been used to treat migraine headaches, as well as excessive sweating. The benefits are really more widespread and far reaching than most people realize."

During this presentation, Dr. Pittman will be discussing both the cosmetic and medical benefits of Botox, as well as providing a product demonstration.
