First Responder Educational Services gives back to Charlotte community
Posted: 06-22-2007 : CHARLOTTE, N.C.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – First Responder Educational Services announced its debut into the greater Charlotte region by immediately giving back to a non-profit within this community.
Headquartered in Westport, Conn., First Responder Educational Services opens new offices in regions by first selecting an appropriate non-profit to donate equipment and training to that organization. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Seniors Centers was the recipient of their heart defibrillator and life-saving skill training.
First Responder is dedicated to reducing fatalities of cardiac arrest in the workplace by providing the finest in CPR/AED instruction and Public Access Defibrillator equipment to business and the general public. The AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the potentially life threatening heart arrhythmias and is able to treat them by application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm at the time of cardiac distress.
According the company’s regional manager of the Carolinas, Bruce Zaidman, “When we enter a new market, we share our equipment and training with an appropriate non-profit in order for them to benefit from our services immediately. What a coincidence that the Senior Centers had just priced an AED for their health suite and were postponing purchasing it since they could not afford it at this time.
Established in October 2006, First Responder Educational Services has expanded its operations from Connecticut into California, Florida, Massachusetts and now the Carolinas by selling and installing only the latest equipment and CPR/AED instruction to businesses of all sizes and to facilities that serve the general public.
The company’s impressive growth is attributed to a need in communities to have life saving procedures in place where people work and play. With their nationwide partnership with the American Red Cross for first aid and CPR training, First Responder Educational Services offers certified professional instructors and delivers its services to companies and organizations with cost effective management and annual program maintenance.
