RALEIGH, N.C. – Hunton & Williams LLP announced that Daniel E. Uyesato has joined the firm’s environmental practice group. Uyesato brings more than two decades of industry-specific experience to the practice area with a particular focus on environmental and transactional matters. He will be based out of the firm’s Raleigh office.

Prior to joining Hunton & Williams, Uyesato spent 16 years at Reichhold Investments, a $1.2 billion global chemical manufacturer, where he most recently served as general counsel. Before joining Reichhold, Uyesato had an 11-year tenure at General Electric Company, where he served as counsel in various GE businesses as well in GE’s Corporate Environmental Programs.

“Daniel Uyesato is an invaluable addition to the Hunton & Williams team,” says William S. Patterson, managing partner of the Raleigh office of Hunton & Williams. “With a rich background of international experience, Dan will be able to serve a wide variety of clients with their environmental and transactional issues throughout the world. His experience will help clients navigate ever-changing environmental, trade and other regulatory issues. His counsel areas include oversight of mergers and acquisitions, litigation, financing, property transfers, and licensing and other business agreements, all in the challenging environment of an international chemical company.”

A graduate of the University of Kansas, Uyesato received his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School. He is admitted to the Connecticut and North Carolina bars.
