ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Lab Escape proudly announces the release of Heat Map Explorer v1.1, a suite of three products that allow business managers to gain and share a deeper understanding of their data for better decision-making. Heat Map Explorer v1.1 includes Viewer, Standard and Professional Editions, targeted at executives, managers and analysts, respectively. An educational webinar on using heat maps for business will be hosted by technology expert Eric Jackson on March 6th, 2007.
Heat Map Explorer enables the user to visually analyze business data using intuitive "heat maps". Heat maps use color and size to rapidly communicate complex information that is nearly impossible to see on a spreadsheet. Lab Escape focuses on the analysis and communication of business data using information visualization technologies, an area known as visual analysis.
Trevor Lohrbeer, Founder and CEO of Lab Escape, said, "The value of the Heat Map Explorer Suite is to allow managers and executives to share insights visually. We help information professionals make complex decisions quickly as people process images far faster with a far greater complexity than reading numbers in a spreadsheet."
Joe Salas of Energy Alloys, a Lab Escape customer from outside of Houston, TX, says "Lab Escape's software allows me to focus on relevant information from our data without distraction. We have over 50,000 line items in our inventory and Lab Escape's software allows me to see anomalies and trends that affect our business within a single page. Our executives love the ease of use and the visual explanation of the data allows them to make better decisions more efficiently."
With the increased accountability and pressure of reporting quarterly results, executives, managers and analysts need better data analysis tools. The amount of data that managers have to interpret has exponentially increased in recent years. More data has been created in the past seven years than in all of human history before that. Lab Escape's solutons allow users to interpret data and communicate business trends throughout different levels of a company.
Lab Escape has a growing Fortune 500 customer base that includes two of the top five US banks, a major financial services group and one of the top three technology solution providers. Lab Escape also has several international customers in the financial services, government and information technology industries.
