synerG to Host Educational Series Connecting Young Professionals and Local Non-Profit Organizations (Greensboro)

The synerG Leadership Initiative, in partnership with the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium, and American Express, is working to connect young professionals with non-profit organizations in the Greensboro area through a series of educational lunches in February.
The first event on Wednesday, February 10 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. will focus on the differences in nonprofit culture and the steps taken in joining a nonprofit board. Panelists will be Ruth Anderson from the Servant Leadership School, Betsy Grant of the Greensboro Children’s Museum, and Susan Feit of NCCJ of the Piedmont Triad. The event will take place at NCCJ of the Piedmont Triad, 713 North Greene Street. Lunch is $10 and tickets can be purchased at www.synerg.org
The second lunch will be Wednesday, February 17 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. and will discuss how to be an asset to a non-profit organization through fundraising and networking. The panelists will be Erin Stratford of the Barnabas Network, Jodi Schibley of Sanctuary House, and Mike Aiken of Greensboro Urban Ministry. The event will be at Barnabas Network, 2024 East Market Street. Lunch is $10 and tickets can be purchased a twww.synerg.org
The final event, on Wednesday, February 24 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., will be a free speed networking event at Triad Stage UpStage Cabaret, 232 South Elm Street. This will give young professionals a chance to network with non-profits and other young professionals from the Greensboro area. Complimentary cocktails and appetizers will be served and tickets are free but space is limited. Email cthompson@actiongreensboro.org to reserve your space.
