Fred Adams Paving to Exhibit at the Low Impact Development Summit
Posted: 06-26-2008 : RALEIGH, N.C.
Raleigh, NC - Fred Adams Jr., Vice President of Fred Adams Paving Company, has announced that Fred Adams Paving will be exhibiting at the Low Impact Development (LID) Summit on June 23 and June 24 at the Renaissance Hotel in Asheville, NC. The Fred Adams Paving team will be demonstrating how permeable pavers offer cost effective solutions to storm water run off, groundwater recharge and water pollution control while providing a naturally beautiful appearance to various applications.
"Permeable pavers are well suited for nearly any commercial or industrial area," said Adams. "They offer a great way to minimize pollution and storm water runoff while still maintaining the beauty and durability that businesses desire."
Low Impact Development offers an alternative to traditional site design by incorporating water treatment structures into the landscape and building footprints. LID features are constructed to decrease surface runoff, erosion and non-point source pollution, resulting in improved water quality. The LID Summit will address the planning, policy and financing aspects of incorporating those principles in municipalities. Fred Adams Paving will provide engineers, architects and design professionals with information on designing, installing and maintaining permeable pavers.
