Fred Adams Paving Speaking Engagement Focused on Benefits of Permeable

Raleigh, NC - Fred Adams Jr., Vice President of Fred Adams Paving Company, recently participated in a speaking engagement sponsored by Eagle Bay Hardscape Products. The event occurred on April 30 in Williamsburg, VA, and featured in-depth information on permeable pavements. Adams, along with David Smith, Technical Director of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI), spoke to a group of design professionals about innovative building techniques, financial benefits of using permeable pavers, and reducing environmental pollutants through the use of permeable pavers. Adams and Smith also answered an array of questions and concerns from the audience.

Thoroughly discussed topics included a new perspective on how to build a proper permeable pavement system, how building a properly graded aggregate base for water storage can recharge the water and reduce run-off, operational maintenance techniques, and how the use of permeable pavers has created a shift toward green building and sustainability.
