Posted: 08-08-2008 : RALEIGH, N.C.
RALEIGH, N.C. – Search your favorite area bookstore, library, coffee shop, restaurant or day spa beginning the week of Aug. 11 for the fall 2008 issue of InterMarket Media’s Fifteen501 magazine.
This issue’s Special Section delves into the latest and greatest trends in homebuilding, from incorporating sustainable building materials to installing artificial grass. We also feature a roundtable of area builders practicing sustainability, and take a look at how the Home Builders Association of Durham, Chatham and Orange Counties (HBADOC) gives back to the community.
Fifteen501’s Around Town section features a community spotlight on Carrboro, an eclectic town known for its arts and culture; and the Fifteen501 Treasure of the Durham Scrap Exchange, the state’s only creative re-use center. This issue’s Hometown Stories section includes a profile of Chapel Hill novelist Elizabeth Spencer, who talks about the buzz surrounding her early short novel, “The Light in the Piazza,” and its upcoming production in Winston-Salem.
In Going Green, which debuted with our summer issue, we showcase where to buy sustainable homebuilding products, from paints with low volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to countertops and insulation. Also learn how to incorporate elements of sustainable design into your home, and find out how and where to dispose of electronic waste.
In Beauty & Style, discover the best in fall fashion, learn the latest technologies in tattoo removal and see what’s new in maternity wear this season. This issue’s Health Watch section covers the popularity of yoga and Pilates, discusses the power of cancer support groups, and delves into the latest advancements in repetitive-use diagnoses.
Now that we distribute 30,000 copies of Fifteen501 quarterly and feature an easy-to-use Web site and blog, we’re more accessible than ever. Check us out online at www.fifteen501.com.
