SafeGuard Guaranty Corporation Names Thomas B. Mayo III as Chief Financial Officer

Apex, NC -- SafeGuard Guaranty Corporation, soon to be the first company in the world to offer Marriage Assurancesm, today announced that Thomas B. Mayo III has joined SafeGuard as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. SafeGuard’s ground breaking insurance based offering is focused on ensuring the financial wellbeing of successful marriages in the form of wealth creation and preventing the financial devastation so often caused by divorce.

John Logan, Chairman and CEO of SafeGuard, a Nevis based insurance company with operational headquarters in Apex, North Carolina stated, “I am very pleased to welcome Thomas to the SafeGuard Guaranty leadership team as CFO. We had originally planned to outsource the CFO role until we found a suitable candidate but once I saw Thomas’ resume I couldn’t let him slip by us. Mr. Mayo brings 30 years of financial management expertise to SafeGuard, including a wealth of experience leading a range of companies in successful financial management.

Most recently, Mr. Mayo was Managing Director at Cameron General Corporation in Chicago, IL, a private equity firm. In his decade of experience in the insurance industry he was both CFO and CEO of a Chicago based Property and Casualty insurance company and an insurance agency, respectively. Mr. Mayo also spent 17 years at First Chicago NBD/First National Bank of Chicago (now part of JPMorgan Chase) where he held various VP positions. Mr. Mayo received an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his Bachelor of Arts degree with highest honors in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
