Accentuate Staffing Supports Food Bank of Eastern NC

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Accentuate Staffing, a leading provider of staffing and recruiting solutions to Triangle-based companies recently completed a food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. During a five week period, employees, candidates, friends and family donated over 340 pounds of food – this amount equates to 286 meals for needy families. On May 28th, members of the Accentuate Staffing team took all of the donated food to the Food Bank and volunteered for the afternoon, assembling 818 cartons of eggs for distribution.

Established in 1980, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is a non-profit organization that provides food to people at risk of hunger in 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina. In 2007-08, the Food Bank distributed over 31.6 million pounds of food through 870 partner agencies including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and after school programs for children.
