Posted: 06-30-2009 : RALEIGH, N.C.
RALEIGH, N.C. –– Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law today announced the Cary, N.C.-based law firm of Coats and Bennett, P.L.L.C. has committed $100,000 to the Law School’s Campaign for Raleigh.
This is the largest law firm gift to date received by Campbell Law School and another major step in its capital campaign. The contribution from Coats and Bennett has secured the firm naming rights for the Law School’s Career Services & Professional Development office suite.
“We are extraordinarily grateful for this major commitment from Coats and Bennett,” said Dean Melissa Essary. “Having the support of one of the region’s top intellectual property law firms for our campaign and relocation to Raleigh is significant. It is equally satisfying to know that graduates of Campbell Law School are making an impact within this outstanding firm.”
Anthony Biller, a 1997 graduate of Campbell Law School and partner at Coats and Bennett, commented, “Our firm looks forward to partnering with students and faculty at Campbell Law School on significant academic, research and other intellectual property projects. A world-class region like Raleigh and Research Triangle Park needs a world-class law school like Campbell.”
Campbell Law School will open at 225 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh in September 2009.
