Document Management Software Provider KnowledgeTree® Opens its North American Headquarters

RALEIGH, NC — KnowledgeTree, a leading provider of commercial open source document management software, today announced the company has opened its North American headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina. The company, which is funded by Hasso Plattner Ventures, has already gained significant worldwide traction and is now focusing on building its US operations.

KnowledgeTree’s North American operations will be led by Tim Spink, who joins the organization as vice president of sales. Spink has more than 18 years of software sales experience, having built and managed several direct and indirect sales teams in the Americas and abroad. Formerly senior director with rPath Inc., and vice president of sales at Solarwinds Inc., (NYSE: SWI), Spink gained a deep understanding of open source technology while at Red Hat Inc., (NYSE: RHT), the world’s leading provider of open source solutions to the enterprise. During his six years with Red Hat, he held various sales management and director positions globally.
