RALEIGH, N.C. -- The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina, today announced the addition of 79 new members so far this year. These technology companies join more than 400 other NCTA members who enjoy access to North Carolina’s corporate leaders, premier networking and educational events. With the addition of the latest new members, NCTA has already nearly met its overall goal of 100 new members in 2009.

“During this time of continued economic uncertainty, we are extremely pleased that so many North Carolina technology companies are still seeing the benefits that NCTA membership brings them,” said Brooks Raiford, NCTA’s president and CEO. “While NCTA has always been a statewide organization, we are committed to continuing our expansion to reach more companies in Charlotte, the Triad and other regions. With events like the Charlotte Conference on June 19, we believe we can add even more value and opportunities to businesses all across North Carolina.”

In addition to providing connections to industry leaders, prospective business clients and legislators, NCTA also provides its members with a monthly IT Job Trends Report, which highlights North Carolina’s IT job market statistics and offers an analysis and comparison to national trends. NCTA members also enjoy discounts and special offers from leading professional and financial service providers, as well as an interactive job board with a focus on technology industry companies. New this year, NCTA also now offers its members a searchable online member directory to provide easy access to potential business partners, and an online library of business articles and white papers covering a wide range of business topics for furthering professional development and to highlight experts within NCTA’s membership.
