XIOS Authentic Greek Cuisine Celebrates 5th Anniversary
Posted: 07-24-2009 : APEX, N.C.
APEX, NC – Kirk and Denise Hatzidakis at CIOS (pronounced Khi-Os) Authentic Greek Cuisine in Apex are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their restaurant opening on Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 7 to 10 p.m. To help them celebrate, they’ve invited all of their customers, friends and family to join them for a champagne toast, anniversary treats and the vocal stylings of Pam Saulsby, singing standard classics and jazz favorites.
“We feel very fortunate to be celebrating the 5th anniversary of our family restaurant, CIOS,” said owner Denise Hatzidakis. ”We hope to continue serving the families of Apex and the surrounding communities in our diningroom for the next five years.”
Kirk Hatzidakis, from the Island of CIOS, Greece, and his wife Denise, a Raleigh native, opened the restaurant in 2004 with century-old recipes from Kirk’s parents, YiaYia and PaPou (Grandma and Grandpa) Hatzidakis, also from the small island off of Greece. While YiaYia and PaPou are standing guard in the kitchen to ensure the authenticity of each dish, Kirk, wife Denise and daughter Zoe can be found roaming the dining floor and greeting guests six nights a week.
The Greek island of CIOS, home to the Hatzidakis family for generations is known for its polite and peaceful residents who welcome visitors and guests with kindness and hospitality. Following the family tradition, CIOS Authentic Greek Restaurant in Apex brings old-world authentic Greek cuisine to your table, often pairing it with Greek wines of superior quality. Live musical entertainment and belly dancing is available most nights, and children 12 and under eat for free on Thursdays. CIOS is located at 800 W. Williams Street in Peakway Market Square in Apex.
