Kerr Drug Looking for 'Advice' in New Campaign
Posted: 11-20-2009 : RALEIGH, N.C.

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Kerr Drug, a leading innovator and provider of pharmacy and other healthcare related services, is asking Triangle residents to submit their wackiest home remedies for illnesses in a new advertising campaign launching this month. The campaign is titled “Advice”, and is running on Triangle radio, television print and online media outlets. Kerr Drug is offering a $1000 gift certificate to the winner submitting the most unusual home remedy advice as well as the chance to have their remedy used in future commercials.

“Our customers value the personal relationships they build with our pharmacists and the individual service and medical advice they receive in our stores,” says Anthony Civello, president and CEO of Kerr Drug. “So we developed a lighthearted campaign that poses a serious question: Would you rather get health advice from a stranger or your trusted, highly trained Kerr Drug pharmacist?”

The campaign theme was selected after extensive research determined the primary reason customers shop at Kerr Drug is because they value the relationships with staff and pharmacists. The research also showed customers would switch pharmacies to learn from a pharmacist’s advice. The campaign launches a new slogan for Kerr Drug: “You’re in store for a healthy relationship”, and includes vignettes offering such advice as “hot sauce makes the pounds drop off” and “vinegar will cure dandruff”.

The campaign coincides with the launch of Kerr Drug’s revamped website. Entries can be submitted at www.kerrdrug.com and clicking on the link for Wackiest Home Remedies contest.
