Denise S. Bennett Named N.C. Impact Financial Leader

RALEIGH, N.C. – Denise S. Bennett, President of DS Bennett Business Strategies and Focus Visions Mortgage Group, LLC, has been named an Impact Financial Leader by Business Leader magazine. According to the publication, this recognition is reserved for the key statewide financial executives who are making a difference in the North Carolina community.

With a financial career spanning 30 years, Bennett is a noted strategist, lending specialist and professional speaker. Since 2000, she has spearheaded two companies: DS Bennett Business Strategies, focused on commercial lending strategy and execution, and Focus Visions Mortgage Group, LLC, focused on residential and investment lending. At the heart of both companies is Bennett’s commitment to acting as a trusted advisor for her clients, helping them to develop and realize their individual financial vision.

Prior to starting her businesses, Bennett held leadership positions in commercial banking, consumer banking, mortgage, sales and community development with major national banks, including First Citizens Bank, First Union National Bank (now Wachovia, a Wells Fargo company) and BB&T.

Bennett’s contributions have earned her numerous awards throughout her career. Most recently, she was named a recipient of the 2009 Movers and Shakers award, also by Business Leader magazine. She has also been recognized with The Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award, The Mahogany Dime Dr. Johnnetta B.
