Fairway Outdoor Advertising Renews its Commitment to the Jimmy V Foundation

Raleigh, N.C. – Fairway Outdoor Advertising, a longtime supporter of the Jimmy V Foundation, has once again renewed its commitment to the cancer research foundation. Fairway has partnered with Jimmy V by donating a year-long advertising package valued at $50,000 to promote the foundation. A series of billboards will be displayed in North Carolina during select months in 2009 and 2010. The announcement was made today by Paul Hickman, general manager of Fairway.

The donated billboards are being used to promote branding as well as specific events. Some of the time sensitive campaigns Fairway is promoting for the foundation include, the Celebrity Golf Classic, Ride for Research and Show your Spirit.

“Fairway is pleased to continue its partnership with the Jimmy V Foundation,” said Hickman. “Cancer has affected members of the Fairway family and supporting the foundation’s research efforts is important to our organization.”

The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary North Carolina State basketball coach and ESPN commentator.
