Debates over changing the nation's health care system are taking place at public forums across the country. Now it’s your turn to participate in UNC-TV's own television town hall. Share your questions and concerns about health care overhaul during UNC-TV's HEALTH CARE REFORM: NORTH CAROLINA'S WATCH ON WASHINGTON, Tuesday, August 25, at 9 PM as congressional leaders representing North Carolina answer many of your calls and online queries on the health care reform proposals that have Washington buzzing and local town hall meetings packed.

All 15 members of the North Carolina congressional delegation have been invited.

Representatives David Price and Brad Miller have confirmed their participation in the UNC-TV studio, and Representative Mel Watt will appear via satellite uplink from Charlotte. Representatives G.K. Butterfield, Howard Coble, Walter Jones, Sue Myrick and Heath Shuler, along with U.S. Senator Kay Hagan, have declined the invitation.

Senator Richard Burr, Representative Bob Etheridge, Representative Virginia Foxx, Representative Patrick McHenry and Representative Larry Kissell have not yet responded with a final decision to either accept or decline the invitation.

The primary purpose of the program is to allow viewers to participate through telephone calls during the live 9:00 p.m. broadcast, or by submitting their questions via Twitter, Facebook and a UNC-TV email account.
