Rusty Bucket Kids Club Wraps Production

Apex, NC - Shooting of the pilot episode and theatrical release version of “The Rusty Bucket Kids Club” has now been completed with work now moving to editing and other post-production tasks. The program made use of locations in Apex, NC and the surrounding area including historic downtown Apex and the New Hope Valley Railway. Throughout the production the Town of Apex portrays the fictional “Peak City.”

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to the people and Town of Apex for their cooperation, enthusiasm, and patience with us during the filming,” said John M. Demers, Executive Producer of the production. “Using local locations for the sets and local residents as actors and extras presented a unique set of opportunities for all of us. I am pleased to say to everyone, it all went very well, very well indeed.”

The cast of the show included many prominent citizens of the Town of Apex as well as others as background actors. Also participating in the production were local WRAL icon Charles Gaddy and the fun-loving WRAL Brain Game host, Mark Roberts. Roxanna and John Coleman Demers lead the cast of young actors drawn from the local area.

Two broadcast television stations in the Raleigh/Durham area and other markets across the country have already expressed interest in the show concept and unique business model, and are looking for the opportunity to screen the feature film version. The feature film version will be screened as a part of the Peak City Film Festival, Friday evening, November 20, 2009. February is the target local broadcast opportunity as the pilot episode visits a teenage Abe Lincoln. The production company sees that birthday weekend as a prime window to help the viewing public learn more about our nation’s 16th President.
