Sen. Richard Burr to be honored at March 30th GOP Dinner in Sunset Beach

BOLIVIA, N.C. – U. S. Senator Richard Burr will be the honored guest and speaker at the Brunswick County Republican Party’s Annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Tuesday, March 30 at the Sea Trail Resort and Conference Center in Sunset Beach, NC. The event will start at 5:30 pm with a reception followed by dinner and the program.

Senator Burr will be introduced by North Carolina Republican Chairman Tom Fetzer and all Brunswick County Republican office holders and 2010 candidates are expected to attend.

Sen. Burr was elected to the U. S. Senate in 2004 and had served in the House of Representatives since 1995. He currently is the Ranking Member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee and also sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, and the Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

He grew up in Winston Salem, the son of as minister, and is a graduate of Wake Forest University.
