Brinkley Financial Group Sponsors Cupid’s Cup in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Brinkley Financial Group, a Charlotte based full financial services investment firm, announced its sponsorship of the Sixth Annual Cupid’s Cup 5k & Fitness Walk. The event will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010.

The Cupid’s Cup 5K & Fitness Walk will benefit Carolinas Medical Center’s (CMC) cardiovascular health and rehabilitation programs which provide acute, preventive and rehabilitative care for patients. This marks the first year for the company’s involvement in the annual event as a presenting sponsor. Representatives from the Brinkley Financial group also plan on participating in the walk to help raise funds for the event.

“We are proud to be a part of this event and to be able to assist in bringing awareness to cardiovascular disease which is one of the leading causes of death for many Americans,” said Carrie Brinkley, Portfolio Analyst for Brinkley Financial Group. “We already have many volunteers who are eager to participate whether it is through donating or participating in the run. It should be an exciting time.”

This year’s race will also benefit the Heart of Champion Day screening event in connection with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. This screening event will provide free cardiac, orthopedic and general medical screenings free of charge to over 1200 high-school athletes.

Individuals may register for the event at the corporate office located on 2815 Coliseum Centre Dr., Suite 100 in Charlotte between the hours of 9am-2pm. The run/walk will take place near CMC-Myers Park and will start at 8am.
