South Charlotte Family Receives Garage Makeover in Pea Organizing Services’ Reorganize My Space Contest
Posted: 02-08-2010 : CHARLOTTE, N.C.

CHARLOTTE – Pea Organizing Services, a full-service professional organizing and productivity consulting firm, announced today that The Bradley Family of Beverly Crest won the “2010 Reorganize My Space” contest in honor of National Get Organized Month.

The Bradley Family received a free eight-hour makeover session – including an assessment questionnaire, pre-work day consultation and supplies – for their garage from Fiorella Sabato, owner of Pea Organizing Services. Ballantyne Garage Solutions installed the shelving and hooks for the project.

“We’ve needed an improved storage strategy for our home for a while. Our garage is a key storage area because we don’t have an accessible attic,” said Kathi Bradley who expanded her family with another baby last year and entered this year’s “Reorganize My Space” contest. “Fiorella [Sabato] has been such a valuable help to us. Just as we hoped, her involvement immediately fueled us with energy to tackle this major project that we’ve been putting off. She has been an excellent coach, providing the game plan and guiding us to work very efficiently to sort, purge, and define what items to keep. She designed and implemented a storage system that will serve us very well going forward.”

The Bradley Family was among countless entries, whereby individuals could nominate themselves or friends and submit a photo of their cluttered space to Pea Organizing Services, which hosts the annual contest. The home or office had to be located in Mecklenburg or Union County.

Added contest winner Greg Bradley, “It feels great to finally have a garage that is organized and clean. The clutter was really weighing us down. Now I know where everything is and can easily access what I need. I wish we had done this years ago. The success of getting our garage in order has given me new momentum to tackle other projects around the house that I've been putting off.”

“I was so impressed by the amazing response we received for this year’s ‘Reorganize My Space’ contest,” said Sabato. “It was a joy working with the Bradley Family to get their garage back in order while creating functional storage and room for their cars. Research shows that 50 percent of homeowners rate the garage as the most disorganized place in the house and a place the entire family uses regularly. Knowing that our efforts helped this family in so many ways by reclaiming their garage, reducing stress and teaching them organizing techniques is what makes this annual contest so rewarding. It’s something Pea Organizing Services looks forward to hosting each year.”
