Carolinas Wireless Association holds 4th quarter event; Recognizes first anniversary

Cary, NC - The Carolinas Wireless Association (CWA), a business association comprised of members of the wireless industry, held its 4th quarter event on October 12 at the Cary Embassy Suites. The event featured Jeffrey Steinberg, Deputy Chief of the FCC’s Spectrum and Competition Policy Division, as the speaker. Carolinas Wireless Association also recognized their first anniversary.

“We are very proud to have just held our fourth quarter luncheon event,” said Brian Hurley, president of the Carolinas Wireless Association. “Not only did we have a great speaker, but also were able to recap the first year of the association and recognize our past achievements.”

Steinberg spoke about the impact of the FCC on wireless telecommunications and infrastructure, giving an overview on several aspects of each industry.

Hurley summarized the association’s first year. He highlighted each of the four quarter luncheons, the organizational launch, their participation in the SWAP Centerstage, the efforts of their membership committee and the evolution of their website. Hurley also spoke of upcoming events including their participation in the IWCE/MRT Wireless Summit in November and their 2006 holiday party.
